One of my favorite parts about blogging is connecting with emerging creators and hearing their stories. The story behind Shield & Honor holds a little dearer to me because I have veterans in my family. It was born when she made her first pendant out of an empty casing from the 21 Gun Salute at her grandfather’s memorial.  Shield & Honor also donates a portion of all proceeds to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund to continue to support the same community that inspired their creation.

Now I first ‘met’ my girl, Courtney at Coco + Pine on Instagram. Even though we haven’t officially met, I really feel we have the same creative mind and would be friends if she wasn’t all the way across the country. She makes tees that everyone can relate too.  I love how three simple words, “Coffee Whiskey & You” can make a person smile. I am wearing a large to style it off the shoulder.
