*This post is sponsored by Sephora inside JCPenney. So excited to be working with this wonderful brand! All opinions are always 100% my own.
Brows are hotter than ever - and the more prominent the better. Sadly, we all can't be born with Cara Delevingne eyebrows but lucky for us there are so many amazing brow products on the market to help us achieve bold eyebrows. Attaining those brows all starts with a good brow styling service. Hence, I was excited to learn about the Grand Opening of 9 new Benefit BrowBars at Sephora inside JCPenney, in the Pacific Northwest.
I got a chance to go in-store to learn about the services offered at the Benefit BrowBar where I received a free brow mapping consultation and styling service. I also learned about all the best products to use for #browsonfleek that I will share with you all below.
Before I tell you about my experience at the Benefit BrowBar at Sephora inside JCPenney, I wanted to let you know that you can catch the Grand Opening Event to receive a free brow service with any *$50 purchase at Sephora Inside JCPenney (*not limited to just Benefit products)!

I arrived at 11 AM for my appointment (note that there's no appointment necessary, you can always drop-in). My Benefit aesthetician, Maria, greeted me and sat me down at the BrowBar counter then proceeded to ask me what I wanted to achieve today. I told her I just needed a little cleaning because I want natural, bold eyebrows. They also offer brow tinting, tweezing, lip, chin, & face waxing.
I'll be honest and say that I have been a victim of over plucking my brows (unfortunately by my own hands) and have been very cautious about letting just anyone touch them. Because WAXING your eyebrows is a pretty big leap – those pesky hairs take weeks to regrow, so I love the fact that they offer a signature “brow mapping” service. It’s where they map your brows according to the structure of your face so you know where your brow should start, arch, and stop. So basically, rather than just wax and hope for the best, they’ll map your brows with a pencil and you can tell them if you want them to change the shape. They are my brows after all so I should have a say right?! Once I was good with the map, she got to waxing.
Benefit has a special pearly white wax formula they use that is great for sensitive skin like mine. The wax was smooth and really didn't hurt as much as other waxing experiences I have had. Once that was complete, she took her time and tweezed and trimmed my brows so that they looked perfect. After the wax, she used a cleanser to help remove any excess wax and applied soothing cream to calm the redness.
Now to the fun part. My aesthetician took me through each brow product and explained in detail how and when to use it. She finished one side and had me finish the other brow with the products and techniques she had just taught me. I love that they let you practice in-store — such a good way to learn and make sure we use the products properly!
The first step is to condition and prime with BROWVO! Conditioning Primer. Ok, I have actually heard that this product is amazing for making your eyebrows full & thick! The key is consistency. They recommended that I twist it twice for each brow and use it twice a day. *TIP: Keep it right next to your toothbrush so you can easily remember to apply!
Next step is to fill in brows with Precisely, My Brow Pencil, the KING of eyebrow pencils! I love how pointy the pencil is which allows me to build 'hair strokes' to make my brows look very natural. *TIP: How to use: Use long, horizontal strokes along the base of your brow. Second, fill by creating strokes in the direction of your natural hair growth. Then gently brush through brows with the spoolie to evenly blend color and tame hairs.
We then used KA-BROW! Cream-Gel which is perfectly paired with the Precisely, My Brow Pencil. It is highly pigmented, waterproof cream-gel brow color. It is so easy to apply, doesn’t smudge, and is waterproof. I use this to fill in the tail end of my brows and it looks so natural! It comes with a brush perfect for traveling but I do recommend using this brush instead.
If you naturally have a fuller brow (unlike me) and don't need much filling in, I do recommend Gimme Brow+ Brow-Volumizing Tinted Fiber Gel. It has tiny microfibers with a tinted-gel that will create natural-looking fullness and definition.
Lastly, we set my brows with this clear 24-HR Brow Setter shaping & setting gel. It holds my eyebrows in place and keeps them perfectly polished all day. Just make sure you don't apply too much to keep it flexible & flake-free.
I can happily say my experience at the Benefit BrowBar at Sephora inside JCPenney was fun, quick, and everyone was so warm and friendly. In 15-20 minutes, I got my brows waxed, received a styling service, and learned all about Benefits products. I will definitely be going back!
I remember more than 10 years ago when JCPenney first began opening Sephora inside JCPenney stores, I would use to shop for makeup while my mom did her clothes shopping. I love that that original launch has turned into a phenomenon. Today, there are over 574 Sephora inside JCPenney locations nationwide, where we can (conveniently) find fashion and beauty all in one place!
Make sure you guys go check out the Benefit BrowBar services at Sephora inside JCPenney and let me know what you think! #SephoraInJCP #benefitbrows
