BEST DAY EVER. I love the quote and it isn’t because I never have any ‘bad’ things happen to me, I just don’t let those events ruin my day. The kind of day I will have is largely up to me. Assuming I keep breathing, and have another 24 hours, but the kind of day it will be is completely in my control base on how I handle it.
You may or may not have heard of all the wildfires in Eastern Washington this past month. I won’t go into too much details but it was a FREAKING DISASTER. I was literally at the point of having all my important belongings packed in suitcases, in my car, ready to evacuate. While it may seem like everything was outside of my control, there were things that I did to make my day better. No, I can’t stop everything bad that happens, but what does it hurt to stop what I can? I tried to make the best of it, stayed positive, had ‘fun’ cooking in the dark, and took the opportunity to talk to our neighbors and firefighters.
Stay positive. Count your blessings. Smile. Take time for yourself. Do something good for someone else.
And have the BEST DAY EVER, everyday.
