Unlike Seattle, Lake Chelan has almost 300 days of sun a year! Lake Chelan and its surrounding area have so much to offer whether you’re looking for a fun family trip to the lake or a romantic getaway from the city/work life. We have a vacation rental right on the beautiful Columbia River in Orondo, just 15 minutes from Chelan. After living there for about two years a few years back, I still haven’t gotten tired of the amazing views, hikes, wineries, and lake life. Leif and I try to make it out to our Airbnb on the Columbia River as much as possible to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wine and dine at the places I’m sharing with you today. There are probably around two dozen wineries around the lake, but here are my six best wineries in Chelan. All are of them are unique in some way and do not disappoint!

Lake Chelan Rentals is the way to go when trying to find the best place to stay in Chelan. The best Airbnbs near Lake Chelan, Washington, I would have to say is our home 😉
This riverfront lodge is a stunning, custom-built vacation rental retreat with 90 feet of waterfront and commanding views of the river and surrounding beauty. The spacious interior of this craftsman-inspired home was designed with providing the “perfect” guest experience and easy entertaining in mind.
The beautiful, fully equipped Chef’s kitchen spills out into the large dining area and great room. Large windows bring the outdoors in giving you the feeling that you are on the water. Each of the 5 bedrooms has its own private bathroom suite. A bonus room with a wet bar and game tables make this the perfect property for adult and family groups. Soak in views from the expansive patio or take a dip in the private, year-round hot tub.
Not only does Siren Song have great wines, the food and views are spectacular too! I’m not a huge pizza girl, but honestly their Artemis pizza and Harvest Pizza are to die for. The ambiance of the chateau had me tricked into thinking I was in the European countryside—it’s a really gorgeous lookout over the lake. I would totally recommended this spot in the hills for a little romantic escape.
We got the Harvest pizza, proscuitto burrata board, and jumbo roasted artichoke!
I’m gonna have you guys a little tip, Tsillan is actually pronounced the same way as Chelan! Tsillan Cellars is a must-visit for me. Their fantastic ambiance and wines won them Wine Press Northwest 2020 Washington Winery of the Year. They’ve gotten awards on awards on awards and honestly, it all makes sense after you visit! The panoramic views of the lake are amazing and their restaurant, Sorrento’s, has amazing authentic Italian foods. This spot is perfect for all the foodies and wine-tasters making a trip to Chelan. Here's a fall date pic of me and Leif at Tsillan Cellars!
Lake Chelan Winery is in my opinion a really unique winery experience. Unlike most other wineries, they have some killer BBQ, and they’ve succeeded in creating a really fun and inviting atmosphere. Leif and I went to the winery around Christmas time one year, and they had a bunch of cute events going on at the time! If you’re planning out a trip you can check out their events calendar to see what’s going on whenever you’re planning on visit the lake. This month, they’re hosting live music every Friday and Cider House Saturdays!

This spot made it into my top 6 favorite wineries because of its origins story and how cute and quaint this spot is. The staff at the winery was super sweet and personable; don’t be surprised if they come to introduce themselves to you! Hard Row to Hoe was a fun and memorable experience for me between their great wines, good stories, and the row-boat photo op... I’d definitely recommend this spot for groups of friends or as a cute girls’ day.
We love spending a great afternoon on the deck overlooking the Columbia River at Rio Vista. If you stay at our Airbnb, you can either go by boat on the river or drive around! It’s an enjoyable boat ride to a beautiful sandy beach where we have smoked salmon and cheese on the deck topped off by a wonderful red wine. Does it get any better? It's worth the drive out of town if you’re staying in Chelan!

This is a family-friendly, dog-friendly spot with great wines and tasty foods...just check out the pictures on Trip Advisor and Yelp! From time to time they also feature live music on the patio and outdoor seating. I plan on visiting this winery on our next trip out to Chelan, so keep your eyes out for pictures and videos on my Instagram story!
