I have a confession. I am an overeater. During the day, I tend to skip breakfast and sometimes even lunch which leads me to overeat at dinner. I don't skip meals on purpose but between working A LOT, going to the gym, keeping up with the house chores, I rarely have time or desire to go grocery shopping or prep meals for the week. But let’s get one thing straight: I love healthy food. My goal for 2020 is to incorporate veggies into EVERY meal. But if I am honest with myself, having to grocery shop and cook a meal from scratch three times a day is just not happening ever. That's where Daily Harvest comes into play. They've solved the age-old dilemma of wanting to eat healthy but having no time to do so. If you haven’t heard about Daily Harvest, keep reading below on how it works, and how it has helped me cut stress, eat more veggies and fruits, and not skip meals aka not overeat at night.
PS - You can use my code GYPSY to get $25 off your first box if you want to try it for yourself!

For starters, Daily Harvest's meals are farm-frozen: which means that they use are better than what you’ll get at the grocery store because the fruits and vegetables are harvested before they reach peak nutrition and also use chemicals to help them remain “fresh”!
Not only are they all organic but also gluten-free, which is amazing because I am on a mostly paleo diet. I love that the ingredients are listed on the containers in large letters. Guys, they are seriously as delicious as they are nutrient-rich!
Because of its convenience, I don't skip lunch anymore. Which means I am not starving by dinner time –– which usually leads to overeating.
Another benefit is that you can pour the smoothies/bowls right back into their cup container for transport or on-the-go consumption. There’s even a little opening on the lid for a straw.
In the mornings, I make a smoothie and start checking my emails on my desk bike. I especially love the Mint + Cacao smoothie, which tastes like Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream! It contains a delicious blend of banana, spinach, cashew butter, and brain-boosting chlorella. I also love Cold Brew + Cacao smoothie. All I need to do is fill the cup to the top with the liquid (I used almond or oat milk) and pour everything into the blender. Voila! I've got a thick smoothie packed with healthy fats and nutrients to keep me full throughout the day!
The savory harvest bowls and soups are even easier to make! I pour them into a bowl and microwave for 3-4 minutes. Real talk, so everything is ridiculously easy to cook, tastes ah-mazing, and includes super healthy ingredients. The only problem? I wanted so much more of it. I had to add more food to them to be fully satisfied. Most of the time I supplemented the meals with two soft-boiled eggs, salmon, a couple of spoonfuls of Greek yogurt, or slices of avocado (or all of the above). If meat is more your thing, chicken breast or steak could also make great additions.
Absolutely (and I did)! I got my first six cups for free (thanks to Daily Harvest). I went through the first 6 cups within the week and loved it so much that I actually already signed up and got 24 delivered to me that are in my freezer! While it might seem expensive at first glance, you might still save money because you won’t waste ingredients at home. I can't count how many times I've thrown away rotten veggies and fruits.
With that said, I always say your health is an INVESTMENT, not an expense. Skip that sugar-filled latte or greasy fast food and instead opt for healthier choices like Daily Harvest!!!
All in all, Daily Harvest has helped me eat MORE veggies! Even with my salads, I rarely eat anything besides spinach or arugula because of TIME. I don't have the time to shop or prep a ton of veggies. Most importantly, I don't skip lunch anymore which leads to overeating at night!
