As most of you know, my main focus of 2019 is Wellness! Wellness can mean a lot of things but one of my biggest goals that I shared with you a weeks ago is to combat a sedentary lifestyle. My goal is to move and stand up 5-10 minutes every hour and have at least 6000 steps per day.
For me, accountability is actually the key to reaching my goals. Studies have shown that when you share your goals with others, you are twice as likely to achieve them than if you keep the goals to yourself! For this reason, I thought it would be fun to create a challenge to declare our goals in a way that will set us up for success.
I created the 28-Day Step Challenge to share on our IG Stories every day! This is a fun and easy opportunity for us to keep each other accountable and maintain a healthy lifestyle in a more social way.
To help me track my steps, I'm using a Garmin fitness tracker. Garmin is well-known for their amazing innovative GPS technology. They basically build devices for anyone who needs to know where they are, where they've been, and where they need to. I love that I can match this with any outfit and am still able to track my activity without looking like I’m wearing a “fitness tracker”.

February also happens to be National Heart Month, and according to The American Heart Association, Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Every year, 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease. That being said, this challenge will hopefully help make physical activity a part of everyday life. This can help us all create good habits and it might be fun to do it with a friend too! So I'm encouraging you guys to join me on this 28-day challenge so we can keep each other accountable and continue our wellness journey in 2019!
