I'll admit that I can't live without Spotify but despite being able to stream free music — I am willing to spend money on vinyl records. Vinyl records can provide a deeper, tactile connection to music that resonates with me. Music at the push of a few buttons doesn’t provide the experience that you get with vinyl. Things like admiring the jacket artwork, putting the record on the spindle, dropping the needle, being in awe of the fact that sound is coming out of tiny grooves — vinyl provides a time to sit down and enjoy a whole album how it’s meant to be listened to.

The act of collecting records is an extremely personal one, but I just wanted to share a few of my favorites. Some are classics that never get old, others are records to throw on at a party, and others still are for letting spin as you stare at the ceiling thinking about what a funny thing life can be.
