Last week, I had the honor to go back to Aurora, NY, a charming little town in upstate New York. I was fortunate enough to go last year, which you can read about here. This time around, I got to take my Mama with me to tour the headquarters of MacKenzie-Childs to learn all about the history and production of their hand-painted ceramics, dinnerware, furniture, home decor, and more! I thought this was a super unique and special experience because I got the opportunity to spend some quality time with my cute mama. We actually never got to spend quality time just the two of us. During this trip to New York, I felt like we really got to re-cultivate that “mother/daughter” bond that is so important in life. I am forever grateful to MacKenzie-Childs for that.

Mother’s Day for my mom and I means spending time together as a family and eating! We all love food and it's my mom's passion. (She is an amazing chef and has her own food truck business!) Her four kids usually take her out to brunch and then walk around different neighborhoods and farmer's market in Seattle. As I said above, this “Mother/Daughter trip” at MacKenzie-Childs headquarters was particularly special because of the quality one-on-one time we were able to spend together. Not to mention, it was also fun to share such a unique experience with the other bloggers and their mothers.
The days we were there, it was great to have some quality one-on-one time with mom. We kept busy with special bonding activities! I'd seen the property at my last visit, but for my mom, it was a new experience and fun for her to see where all the "magic happens," on the factory tour. We both enjoyed letting our creative juices flow while painting our very own cake stand, and then later a silk scarf (who would have thought you could paint one?). We attended flower-arranging class, had cocktail-making lessons where we learned how to make the best cosmopolitan you will ever drink, not to mention a handful of other timeless entertaining tips. My mama and I thoroughly enjoyed all the fun classes and activities MacKenzie-Childs had planned because it brought us closer together!
But aside from all the MacKenzie-Childs activities, the time that we were able to spend together that week was truly UNFORGETTABLE. During one of the dinners, she told her life story to. She had a tough life growing up. Although I've heard it before, listening to her story again was a good reminder of how strong she is and how much I feel for her and want to take care of her now.
When Mother’s Day rolls around each year, I struggle to come up with ways to sufficiently show my mom how much I appreciate the struggles she had to face. It’s hard for me to articulate just how much my mom means to me, but I want to say like all the other moms out there, mine is pretty awesome and man, am I beyond blessed! To all you mothers and mine too, you are SO appreciated.
Hi guys, this is Clara! This MacKenzie-Childs trip was a real blessing for me. This was the first time my daughter, Sabrina, and I have traveled alone together. Needless to say, it has also been a long time since the two of us have spent quality time together, as in just the two of us. This experience provided us with invaluable bonding time as mother and daughter.
Personally, one of the best parts of the trip was that I was able to observe her doing her job as an influencer--and her interactions with the other bloggers. I’ve always known her as beautiful inside and out, but to see how genuine her kindness and professionalism was toward the other girls was very satisfying as a mother.
I am so proud of who she has become, and I am thankful she was chosen to be part of this experience with all other talented and smart girls. It also gave me the opportunity to get to know the mothers of the other girls which was exciting, as well.
Another highlight of the MC trip was watching how the products were made. Specifically, observing how each piece was hand- and then hand-painted. This process made me appreciate MC as a company even more.
I am so grateful to MacKenzie-Childs and can’t thank them enough for inviting all the mothers to their Headquarters. It was a great, early mother’s day treat for me. In our family, Mother’s day usually consists of taking my mother out for brunch and then walking around the mall or Farmer’s Market.
Overall, this trip was an amazing experience, and I’m so thankful I was able to spend time with Sabrina and see her in her element while also getting the opportunity to see what a unique and special company MC is.
If there are two things my mom loves its cooking and flowers (she was so excited to create the floral arrangements pictured above). Conveniently enough, MacKenzie-Childs White Flower Market kitchen cookware have flowers on them. Perfect for gifts for my sweet mama!
Growing up, my mom’s meals were an important part of our day, and her passion for cooking family meals is still present. I could tell the MacKenzie-Childs trip meant so much for her because as the chef of our family, she was able to see first hand how beautiful the hand-painted ceramic kitchen utensils and kitchenware is. For Mother's Day, I typically gift her with some-sort of cookware for her to use. I know she will enjoy adding these White Flower Market kitchen tools to her kitchen collection at home and create some amazing meals too (hopefully for me)!

It was such an honor to work (and play) alongside these talented, amazing boss babes! It was so much fun to connect better with the other bloggers and meet their mother's too. The photo below pretty much sums up what a great time we all had, not to mention tons of laughs!
