Today, I am sharing my Philips Sonicare Subscription Review: everything you need to know about the best toothbrush subscription service (in my opinion) and how it has made our lives a little bit easier. While this post is sponsored, all opinions and views are my own.
As much as I am super diligent about brushing my teeth every morning and night (still working on flossing consistently), I realized I was not replacing my toothbrush head as much as I was supposed to. The American Dental Association recommends doing it every three to four months because toothbrush heads begin to lose their ability to clean your teeth after three months of brushing.
I have to be honest because I've been guilty of leaving my toothbrush head on for up to nine months! Yikes! Between work and house chores, it’s hard to remember to replace them regularly, especially on top of all the other tasks I have to deal with on a daily basis. So, when I found out that Philips Sonicare offers subscription power toothbrush and brush head renewal services; I immediately signed Leif and myself up! I love that we get new brush heads delivered to our door every three months, hassle-free.
We actually started using Sonicare toothbrushes years ago because it was recommended by my dentist (it’s actually the #1 dental recommended power toothbrush). But I’ve been a loyal customer because of the results, and I am so excited to partner with a brand I am obsessed with! Below, I am sharing a full Sonicare review, how Sonicare Subscription works, and how to sign up!
Aside from being the #1 recommended power toothbrush brand by dental professionals in the US…the the biggest standout feature for me is the way that you can customize your brushing with the three modes and three intensities the toothbrush lets you choose from. You can pick from clean, white, or gum care, so you can pinpoint whatever type of oral hygiene you are trying to work on.
For example, I like to focus on whitening and Leif likes to focus on gum care, but this toothbrush works for both of our goals. I thought this would also be great to share with you guys since I’ve been getting questions about how to whiten teeth—plus healthy gums and clean teeth are just as important!
Philips Sonicare offers 3 subscription models depending on your dental needs and budget. Each package includes a travel case and charger, electric toothbrush, and 4 brush heads per year. I personally have and recommend the Philips Sonicare Premium Care package that includes a high-end toothbrush that matches options to manage sonic intensity, gum care & teeth whitening.

So I thought I’d share some final thoughts about ways the Sonicare toothbrush has made some important differences in our oral hygiene habits. Features like the two-minute timer and the thirty-second pulse helped me ditch some of my bad brushing habits—like not brushing long enough or not getting to every area equally.
For Leif, the toothbrush pressure sensor has been a game-changer because he has receding gum lines due to brushing too hard. With the Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100 toothbrush, if he presses too hard while brushing, he gets a pulse through the brush handle warning him to loosen up. It’s a great way of making sure he brushes properly—even his hygienist noticed a difference within a few months.
Having a new brush head automatically sent (every 3 months) has been great for me; it’s just one less thing I have to worry about! The 3-month mark isn’t a random number either: toothbrush heads begin to lose their ability to clean your teeth after 3 months of brushing. By using it longer, you increase your risk of plaque buildup and gum irritation –– yikes (according to the American Dental Association).
Another thing I really like is the small diameter toothbrush head. It makes it way easier and way more comfortable for me to hit all those hard-to-reach spots which has done an amazing job of removing plaque which is obviously really important to overall oral health. My teeth and gum feel so amazing and my hygienist even said that my teeth looked remarkably clean after I started using the ProtectiveClean 6100.
Are you guys ready to get a high-quality electric toothbrush delivered straight to your door? If you want clean teeth with the minimum of fuss, this is the best toothbrush subscription for you!
If you don’t have a Sonicare toothbrush already, you can subscribe to the starter kit.
Thanks to Philips Sonicare for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
