What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? (besides get ready) Do you reach for your phone and start scrolling through emails or social media?? I know I’m guilty of it.. and it’s a habit I’ve been trying to kick. I’ll have periods where I’m really good but then I’ll slowly fall back into the bad habit… So today, I’m setting the intention to create a new healthy habit. I’m putting a journal/planner by my nightstand and plugging my phone in the bathroom. That way I can’t reach for my phone, but instead grab my notebook and that set my goals/plans for the day.
I listen to a motivational podcast, RISE by Rachel Hollis, and she had said that you have the most brain-power in the morning... so don’t use the best brain juice you have on minute things like emails (which is other people’s agendas) and social media (where your brain juice is totally wasted on other people’s life). Instead use that time to plan out the day, work out, or do something for yourself! I am constantly trying to better myself and I hope this little note will inspire you to do so. Here’s to a killer start of August to finish the summer out strong!!
In other notes, I want to share some more coastal-inspired bedroom. Walmart is seriously killing it.
