A couple weekends ago I attended my first wedding of the season! Well actually it was a wedding reception for two beautiful brides, Sirbrina and Latay, who got married in Texas and wanted to throw a reception to celebrate their love with their closest friends in Seattle.
I rode with a couple girlfriends in an Uber to Cedar Room, where their reception was held. I love how easy it was to use Uber split fare on the App! No more hard feelings over who paid the most for the ride because you know who all have the friend who conveniently “forgets” to pay you back. And no more fumbling with cash to properly split a ride. Convenience is the name of the game and Uber has it nailed!!
Uber split fare is basically a way to share your ride expenses or split the cost of a ride with friends or someone you’re Ubering with.
After I requested a ride, all I had to do was tap Payment to find a ‘Split Fare’ button, then added my friends from my contacts list. They got a text message with a link that opens the Uber app and then accepted the split —luckily we had the whole ride to get this done. Just make sure the split is done before ride is completed though because you can’t go back once the ride is done.
Once our Uber arrived at our destination at Cedar Room, all of our cards were charged for the same amount (only came out to about $5 each person)! No fumbling with our wallets, no calculating tips, no waiting for the credit card to go through, no juggling a pen, no asking for a receipt. It’s a seamless transaction. I also love the ease and convenience of Uber that left us to enjoy the rest of the evening without worrying about parking or drinking and driving. We had so much fun celebrating the brides with drinks, dancing, and eating from their “taco truck” buffet bar!
I personally love Uber over cabs, driving my own car, or asking for rides from friends. I have used Uber for all kinds of commuting around the Seattle Metro area. Doctor and beauty appointments, shopping, and outings with friends and movie nights. You name it and Uber has pretty much taken me there. Uber can be quite addictive. I mean, with the ability to call up a driver in about 5-10 minutes with the swipe of a finger on your smartphone just about any time you want? That is just hard to beat!
To celebrate my friends, Sirbrina and Latay, I wanted to share with you some photos from their Wedding in Texas and Reception at Cedar Room in Seattle, WA.
