They came on the scene in the mid 2000s and took over high school halls, college campuses, and our parent’s bank accounts. Slightly expensive, but they were obviously totally worth it. Our only options then were tall or short, or dark brown, tan, or cream. These fur-lined boots may have been popular but there were (are) definitely lots of negative feedback along side with them. Nicknamed as “UGG-ly”, I’ll admit, the classics are a bit shapeless and way bulky. Regardless, I have always had a pair since 2003. The best go-to shoes to throw over jeans or sweats, for grocery runs, errands, traveling, heading to yoga.
Since then UGG has definitely stepped up their game, so to say. Lots of new designs, and they also made improvements to the classics. I received this Limited Edition Abree in rust. Ladies, get ready to fall back in love with UGGs! It is more stylish, sleek, less bulky, and even has more support! The inside fur is not as thick which I love (buh-bye smelly feet). Loving this rust color to go with all my fall go-to neutral belted coat (only $35!).
What do you think: do you love or hate these wear-with-anything, ‘boots with the fur’?
