Thanks to Marie Kondo, everyone is in organization mood. You guys absolutely loved following on my stories when I shared how I cleaned out and reorganized my ENTIRE house. Well, my kitchen, bathroom and most importantly my closet organization! (If you missed it, it is saved under "Organization" in my highlight reel on my Instagram. The beginning of the year is a great time to start getting organized because it’s after the holiday’s and the cold weather forces you to be inside anyway. Re-organizing also goes along with my 2019 focus word, wellness!
I’ve shared a few posts on my blog featuring my kitchen organization process and you can read about it here. My major project, however, was my bathroom organization and closet organization! Prior to purging and cleaning both my bathroom and closet, I had stuff everywhere!
This drawer organizer divider is a life-saver! It comes in a set of 4 and it's perfect to organized socks, underwear, bras, bralettes, scarves, belts, etc!
For denim, I used Marie Kondo's folding method:
HOW TO FOLD PANTS
1. Fold the jeans in half.
2. Fold them in half again.
3. Then fold them into thirds.
4. When done, the jeans should be able to stand.
5. Neatly stack them in your dresser so you can see every pair without messing them.
My closet was another story. I purchased matching hangers and separated clothes by color so it’s easier when picking out outfits. I also made sure to have enough shoe racks to store all of my shoes in an organized manner. For my dresser, I purchased a dresser organizer drawer divider. Below are a few of the products to make organizing even easier!
To not get overwhelmed I started with my bathroom and moved into the closet. Initially, I separated my bathroom products into categories for travel, extra makeup, hair, body, sun, tools etc. Having a dedicated space for everything makes it SO much easier when I’m looking for something specific and it makes everything look so much cleaner.
In my bathroom drawers, I used acrylic clear trays and bins to separate tools and products into designated areas so everything doesn’t get too messy. I removed most of the clutter from my bathroom counter and only featured my most-used products on this 360 Degree Rotating Adjustable organizer - a must-have for your counter!
As you can see, I’ve also separated more products under my sink into different bins and pull out drawers to keep everything nice and tidy! I love this Under Sink Shelf Organizer because it is flexible & expandable to fit any sink. I used this 2-drawer mesh organizer to organize products that I use often.
Overall, this was a HUGE project, but the feeling afterward is so rewarding. With everything organized, I will save SO much time when I’m trying to look for something specific! I’ve linked all of the products I used below! I promise you they’ll help you get and stay organized!
