If you find you are going to be stuck in a metal tube thousands of feet in the air for hours–you want to be prepared. I think the key to a perfect flight is having what you need all in one spot: in your carry-on. If you're checking a bag, you need to know what's important to bring on board the plane with you and what's OK to leave behind in the bag. Today, I am sharing 13 essential things to bring on a plane to make your next trip smooth sailing! Also, sharing a few ideas for what to wear on long haul flight tips.
Suitcase (27" - 25% OFF) / Backpack / Joggers (true to size, tts) / White Sweater (size down) / Colorful Sweater (25% off - size down) // Shoes (tts) / Hat / LV Crossbody Pochette Métis Brogue MM
Depending on your trip, you may require a carry-on backpack, or you may only need a large tote or a suitcase. Because I always travel with my 15" laptop, my go-to for every trip is a carry-on bag that can fit the laptop and all the things to bring on a plane. Security usually makes you scan your laptop separately, so make sure you always have it in an easy-to-reach spot of your bag or suitcase. Here are carry-on bags I use for all the things to take on a plane:

Everyone has their preferred flight outfit. As you’ll be sitting for hours in a confined space, it’s crucial to wear something you’re comfortable in. But comfort doesn't mean you have to look like a slob. The best clothes for flying are clothes that allow you to curl up in your seat in any possible way without cutting off your bloodstream. I swear by my tried-and-tested outfit combination. I pair joggers + t-shirt + outwear + comfy shoes + compression socks. I always take off my shoes once the plane takes off and put on my compression socks for any flight over 3 hours.
I wore this outfit on the way to Tulum and not only is it SUPER comfortable, but the snakeskin print on the cropped pants make it stylish, as well.
Another one of my Tulum travel outfits. I wore the BEST denim shorts ever and then changed into joggers once I got to the airport. This one has a fun vibe, while still being comfortable.
Lastly, my traveling outfit to the Mackenzie Child's headquarters. I love the bright spring colors combined with the comfort of the joggers and sweater, which was perfect for a day of traveling.
If you have a big trip in the near (or far) future, I would highly recommend purchasing at least some of my 13 essential things to pack for travel. Believe me, you won't regret it! All of these items will allow you to be prepared for anything unexpected! As for an outfit, as I said above, you can't go wrong with a soft pair of joggers, sweater, comfy shoes, and a stylish hat to bring it all together!
Happy travels!
