From the wooden base to the fabric looped and braided feathers tied to the ends, this oversized dreamcatcher is meant to inspire and create sweet dreams…
I’m so excited to finally present to you guys this beautiful piece of dreamcatcher from Spoke Woven. I have been working with Genga, owner of Spoke Woven, on this collaboration for quite some time. I can’t believe I am lucky enough to be able to work with SW, who have collaborated with Free People, Mara Hoffman, Urban Outfitters, Surf Bazaar, and more. Genga makes all her dreamcatchers to order- mine are made of wood, muslin, gauze, chiffon- twine for the web. With natural stone arrowheads, crystal Quartz, and turkey feathers for the added accessories. I received the finish piece back in April as I was about to open my new boutique. I hung this piece in the entrance of my new boutique and every new customer that walked in the door marveled at it.
This piece means a lot to me. As you all probably know a dreamcatcher is meant to block out all the bad dreams. To me this piece is not only a beautiful artisan craft, but it filters out all negative energy to only allow positive vibes to enter my life. I’m obsessed! Definitely check her Instagram feed or email her at info@spokewoven.com to create yours!
Thank you Genga. Your creation has truly touched me. I leave you with beautiful words from her:
“Making dreamcatchers… is a creative process that is cathartic and healing and full of growth and spiritual connection. The people who I have the opportunity to work with, to create these works for, make my life full and bring the power of positivity to fruition with the creation of every dreamcatcher.”
